Midweek Stop & Go

Since I have yet to lose weight on this journey or any significant weight during any other attempt to lose, I have no real wisdom about weight loss to pass down yet.  Until such a time when I've actually learned a helpful tidbit or have something meaningful to contribute, many of the posts on this blog will be merely updates on my status or my day to day activities.  Or sometimes, like today, it will be a post where I am just checking in to let you know I'm still in the game.

This week has been draining.  I’m not sure if it because I am busy at work and it is zapping all my energy or if my body is trying to catch the dreaded cold.   Whatever is the cause, I am not accomplishing much this week.  Not that I normally do, mind you, but this week it seems I am working, eating, sleeping, repeat.

My diet/life-style change is off to a mediocre start.  While I am eating at home more often this week, I am still letting some undesirables (unhealthy, processed foods) enter my body.  That being said, the week hasn’t come to a close yet.  Instead of calling the whole week a loss and calling for a do-over, I will start eating healthier and making better choices TOMORROW.  Stay tuned, I am still hoping for a happy ending this week with a weight loss.  It won’t be a fairy tale number that dreams are made of, but if I can right this ship and make some progress, I will be satisfied.

Alright, the brain appears to be turning in to mush.  I will say goodnight and wish you all a great Thursday.

  1. You can't change years of bad habits overnight. Even just eating at home more, although still getting some processed junk, is a victory at this point. Yay for you! You might enjoy Holly at 300poundsdown.com She started at 417. She did have weight loss surgery, but she spills stuff from her heart about what's it like to live in a 417 lb body. I suggest you go back to her beginning if you check her out. Best of luck to you!!!!

  3. Thank you Jill, I seriously need all the help I can get. Of course, I know that I must help myself first.

  4. I spent my first four months into this thing taking the tippy toe route. I found it easier to make a few changes at a time rather than to turn my rather large bus around all at once. :) So by MY schedule, you're right on target!

  5. Just take it one day at a time. Soon, you string enough good days together, you'll start seeing results. Hang in there - you are worth it! :D

    Hugs! Biz
