We’ve made it through half the week, hooray! Oh come
on, I can’t be the only one ‘workin for the weekend’. I do enjoy my job,
for the most part, but enjoy being at home oh so much more. Fortunately,
I am able to work from home two days a week. One more day in the
office this week and then I’m golden.
There’s more good news. Today was a great food
day! My eats looked like this:
Breakfast
Scrambled Eggs
Watermelon
Mid-morning snack
Dry roasted almonds
Lunch
½ English Cucumber
2/3 c. Carrots
½ c. Blueberries
½ c. Black Olives
1 oz Ham
Dinner
6 oz Baked Salmon
1 c. Zucchini
1 c. Roasted Potato
Snack?
Likely nothing, depends on hunger level
Also, as of right now, I’ve had 80oz of water. Today I
was hungry between breakfast and lunch. The almonds helped some, but not
enough. Tomorrow, I will have eat more for breakfast and be sure to include
more protein and at least one vegetable. I haven’t done it yet, but I will
make sure I pack my lunch tonight. We
already have a plan for tomorrow’s dinner; so again, the name of the game is
stick to the plan.
At the end of the day, I have no regrets over anything
consumed today. That’s something that I haven’t been able to say lately,
but hope to start being able to more often. Eating this way was not difficult. I
just had to put in the work to plan and prepare, rather than just placing an
order. Even though it wasn’t difficult,
it takes time and energy that I would normally use elsewhere. It will take determination to make this a
habit. Knowing me, I will fight this
change. One day at a time though and
today was a move in the right direction.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be another.
I told you not much exciting happens at my house, especially during the week. That's why I need to lose weight, so that I will have energy and mobility to live an active life. I’ll be back tomorrow with much of the same, that is if I stay on track.
How is your week going?
You did great!! The more good and healthy food you eat, the more you want to eat good and healthy stuff because you will start to feel so much better! I am so proud of you! BTW, I am a homebody too! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job today! Preparation is so important, and I am already SO sick of doing it. I was just complaining to my mom that I am already tired of having to plan ahead an prepare food. Hopefully it will just become a habit for both of us! So proud of you, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a very healthy eating day! It's like AA that way...one day at a time! I totally understand your previous post, too...learning the same lessons over and over, repeating the same mistakes, etc. Yes, I've done it too. Still do, it just doesn't happen quite as often as it used to.
ReplyDeleteYou're right...try more breakfast. I have a lot of fat with mine, and it holds me for hours!
Good on you and planning success!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! You did fabulous on your eating today. =) I totally agree with you, more protein at breakfast will help curb your hunger a bit more. Oh and good job on your water intake! Sounds like all in all, it was quite a successful day. woohoo!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing well!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, you aren't alone. I live for the weekends! :)
Great work. One day at a time is the way to go. Sometimes even one meal at a times works for me
ReplyDeleteGood job on the good day and feeling good about your eating - one good day breeds another!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job....you are doing wonderful. Remember this feeling and only look a meal ahead. It is hard but soon it will feel natural. And when you have days off plan your body will tell you so.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to see how your next day is.
What a great food day you had! CONGRATULATIONS! I agree, the more you eat better, the more you'll want to because you'll start feeling so much better.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're happy because now I'll be singing Loverboy all night. Good thing I like that song. ;)
Looks good! (Almonds are one of my go-to snacks, too!)
ReplyDeletewatermelon in the morn sounds lovely! Never had it as part of my breakfast. And overall, those are some great eats!
