Checking in - not much to say

Last week was not the comeback I had hoped for.
This sums up my eating last week.

As a result of my poor choices, I gained 5 lbs and am back up to 383 lbs.

I can and will do this.

This week, I will:

That is all I have to say for now, but I needed to come out of hiding.  I will be back sooner than later with better news.  Hope we all have a great week.

  1. Hi! I do feel bad for you, but have you ever considered joining TOPS? It's very inexpensive and it's good to have consistent support. I personally need support from my TOPS friends, and I'd never do as well with my weight without the weekly meetings. Please consider it. If you need more info, just let me know. :D

    1. Marion, I will do some research to see if TOPS is something that might be a fit. I've done WW and being such the introvert that I am, although the support was probably there, I didn't engage. Thanks for the suggestion.

    2. People at TOPS are really nice and not judgmental. It's quite a bit different than WW in that it is much more comfy for people of all sizes and weights. If you need to ask me any questions about it, please just email me at: affectionforfitness@gmail.com and I'll answer anything. Okay? :D

  2. Welcome back! Been there, many times. All you can do is take it one meal at a time. Maybe you could drop one bad food at a time to help lessen the cravings. You can do this!

    1. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am taking it one meal at a time this week for sure. I think it will be a good week, but thinking doesn't get you anywhere...action does. Stay tuned.

  3. This darn weigh loss journey we got through. It comes with the good and the bad. The highs and lows. Keep on rollin with the punches, my friend. Stay strong. xo

  4. You will get back on track! I do agree with Marion though on the support from a group like TOPS. I get support through Curves but am also going to start going to a specialized Dietition for support. It is your choice but something to consider. We are cheering for you! :)

  5. I love the orange picture. I'm going to show it to my step daughter that loves to create. Well...we all know what's broke, but only one of us can fix it. Good luck in your journey:)

  6. I know exactly how you feel... but one thing I have to do is just stop and think about the food BEFORE it goes in my mouth.

Am I eating because I need to or just because I want to? Is there something else I can replace the food with that would be better for me? Have I looked at the label to see how many calories it is and what ingredients it contains?

The only way I can control myself is to do those things. Once I've taken a second to really think about it... I usually can talk myself down.

It's a mind over matter game. You have to be willing to play. And play hard!

    Good luck!

  8. I feel like going into hiding myself lately, since I have been struggling! I love the picture of the reboot button. I am going to press that myself!

My comment won't post with my Wordpress username. This is StrongNewMe on strongnewme.wordpress.com!

  9. Although I haven't personally done TOPS, I know a few people who have and it's done wonders for them. A support group is a huge part of the equation. (hugs)

  10. I have gained a few pounds back in the past few weeks; poor eating choices and lack of exercise. We can do this; just have to "reset" and move forward without shaming and guilting ourselves into a deeper hole. Good luck!

  11. At least you came out and spoke / wrote about it.

You know what you need to do ... here's to doing it.

You can achieve GO FOR IT

    All the best Jan

  12. I hear ya honey - I haven't had any damn TIME to blog, but I could insert any number of excuses for why I've stalled out...

    A.) Poor sleep hygiene
B.) More upcoming legal shenanigans w/Ex (can you spell S*T*R*E*S*S?)
C.) Declining health of my parents/caretaking worries

I could go on & on, but gotta pick my son up from FB practice! Tip your wagon back on its wheels & let's start again!
